Flute and Piano Lessons for Kids: Policies and Tuition

Piano and flute lessons for students in Camarillo and online.

Commitment to Musical Study

Growing as a musician requires a year-round commitment from the teacher, students, and their families. The setting aside of practice time, the financial implications of lessons and instrument maintenance, and the travel to and from lessons and other events are just some of things to think about when considering piano or flute lessons for those in your family. Below is a summary of some of these commitments.

TUition System

Enrolled students are offered year-round musical education, and tuition is based on a yearly fee. Tuition is payable in either two-semester payments or twelve equal monthly installments. Monthly tuition is due on the first of each month, and students are expected to attend their reserved lesson time each week.

Lesson Cancellations

Enrollment in the Studio reserves a specific and exclusive lesson time in the schedule each week. Tuition is based on enrollment in the studio, not attendance. Therefore, missed lessons cannot be refunded or credited, and make-up lessons are subject to availability.

Group performance classes

In addition to private lessons, our students also have the opportunity to participate in group performance classes. Held virtually, these classes are age-based and provide a fun and engaging way to learn from and support their peers. They include performance sessions, music history, ensemble activities, theory games, singing, and more.

Book & Activity Deposit

A $75.00 deposit for each registered student will be used for expenses including: books and material expenses, Studio recitals (live and virtual), festival entry fees (live and virtual),

Practice Expectations

To ensure weekly progress is made, students are required to practice at least five days a week—consistency is essential for musical growth and improvement. At-home practice is not optional. Suitable practice session lengths will vary for each student, depending on age and level. It is suggested that a regular time for practice be determined and set aside each day.
