Meet Niccole: your expert piano and flute teacher!

Niccole Modell teaches flute and piano lessons in Camarillo and online

Niccole Modell enjoys a multi-faceted career as a freelance musician in the greater Ventura County area.  She performs flute regularly with the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic. She has previously performed with the Channel Islands Chamber Orchestra and served as principal flute with the Westlake Village Symphony and the California Lutheran University Orchestra.  Niccole is currently adjunct professor of flute at California Lutheran University and Music Director for protestant services at Naval Base Ventura County.  Niccole is also the owner and operator of the Modell Music Studio in Camarillo, where she teaches private flute and piano lessons.

Niccole earned her Masters degree in flute performance from California State University Fresno.  She also obtained Bachelor degrees in both flute and piano performance, and a performance certificate, from La Sierra University. While at Fresno State, Niccole was awarded first prize by the Fresno Musical Club which granted her the opportunity to perform live on the radio. She was also awarded the La Sierra University Music Department “Senior of the Year” award for her outstanding musical accomplishments.

In addition to teaching and performing, Niccole collaborates with guitarist Rodrigo Paiva as a performing duo for weddings and special events. She also collaborates with composer Michael Glenn Williams on new music for flute.  Her debut CD, Across the Sea, features the music of Stephen Zimmer.

Niccole is a professional member of the National Flute Association and the Music Teacher’s Association of California.
